We cordially invite you to join us on Sunday, November 10th for an unforgettable evening of food, wine and flamenco with the world-renowned Sonia Franco and her musicians, visiting us for one night only from Spain.
The night promises a touch of spontaneity and liberation, reminiscent of the tablaos of Spain where the raw essence of flamenco first ignited. This passionate solo dance performance of Sonia unfolds amidst the rhythmic interplay of accompanying musicians, evoking a dueling pursuit for artistic perfection. It's a captivating dialogue, an ecstatic exchange echoing the feminine power intrinsic to the genre..

Annual Veteran's Day Program at Military Women's Memorial
Nov 11 | 3-5 PM
Join us this Veterans Day, November 11, at 3:00 PM, for the 27th annual Military Women’s Memorial Veterans Day ceremony. The ceremony, one of the major observances in the nation’s capital, is free and open to the public and will include formal military honors, a keynote address, veterans’ remarks, and wreathlayings.
In celebration of America’s Veterans, guests are invited for light refreshments following the program. To make sure we have adequate seating and refreshments, please RSVP, indicating the number attending. We look forward to having you join us for the major national day to honor America’s veterans.
Our program will be held inside the Memorial.
Situated at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery, the Military Women’s Memorial is the only major national memorial and education center dedicated to preserving and honoring the history of all servicewomen – past and present. More than 3 million women have served in the military since the American Revolution, yet the stories of these courageous patriots are largely untold.
For more than 25 years, the mission of the Memorial has been to honor and tell the stories of service of all women who have served our nation. By ensuring these stories of honor, duty, and sacrifice live on in perpetuity, future generations of girls and women are able to see clear pathways and leadership examples through military service. The Memorial educates and inspires through innovative and interactive exhibitions, our world-class collections, and engaging programs and events for all generations.

Wine 101 Class and Tasting at Whino
November 20 | 7:30 PM
Join us for an intro-to-wine class and tasting, meant for all levels of wine drinkers!
Does looking at a wine list intimidate you? Do you walk up and down aisles at the store, aimlessly trying to pick out a wine to have with dinner that night? Let us here at WHINO give you a crash course!
We truly believe that wine is meant to be shared, and should feel approachable to everyone. We want to break down the barriers of what a ‘wine drinker’ is perceived to be, and welcome all to the club!
Our in-house wine curator will talk you through samples of different wines, and focus on the basics: the differences between white, red and rose; how environment and climate affect the grapes; how buzzwords like body, mouth-feel, and tannins translate to what you actually taste; and a beginner’s guide to pairing wine with food.
We require all guests to be present at the start time of the event. We are unable to honor your ticket if you are more than 15 minutes late to the tasting.

2024 Turkey Trot
Nov 28 | 8 AM
The Arlington Turkey Trot is a wonderful community event that we have grown to love.
Thanks to the Trot’s donators, promoters, registrants, sponsors and volunteers, together with our neighbors, who are sometimes inconvenienced on Thanksgiving morning.
And, special thanks to the vision of Christ Church of Arlington’s leaders who declared and demonstrated their love and faith in God in 2006 to help our neighbors in Arlington in need of a hand up.
With appreciation and respect,
Mark Riley
