Art Night: Fun Printmaking! Arthouse 7

Come enjoy an evening at Art House 7 making simple linocut prints. Linocut is like woodcut but easier! You will carve into a soft block, ink it up and make multiple prints. You will make notecards and multiple art prints. You can use our designs or come up with your own. Sign-up with a few friends and have a fun, creative night out! BYOB
Monthly Meditation at Columbia Pike Library

Join us the second Thursday of the month for a relaxing meditation session led by Pushpa Krishnaswamy of Yoga Abhyaasaa!
Deep meditation helps calm the mind and relaxes the body. Meditation is a vacation away from one's own stress. Meditating for 20 minutes every day helps us to withdraw from our external activities and spend time with ourselves. It is quality me-time. These sessions will include:

20 minutes of movement to relax the body.

15 minutes of yoga knowledge with a Q&A session.
Instructor: Pushpa Krishnaswamy (She/Her) of YogaAbhyaasaa Traditional Yoga for Holistic Well-being. Pushpa has been teaching yoga for over 9 years. She has been practicing yoga, breathing techniques and meditation for 17 years.
Nurtured Soul: A Soultry Brand Event at Upside on Moore

This event's mission is to empower women to live fulfilling lives by combining self-care, nutrition and holistic wellness. Through jewelry-making, guides on mindful eating and faith-based conversation. We help women reduce stress, reconnect with themselves, and grow within the community.
Guests will have a peaceful meditation moment and self care journal prompts. Then, learn a fun and therapeutic process of Clay jewelry making from expert and founder Khadeejah Honesty. As well as, some mindfulness eating tips for a busy life and smoothie bowl bar with licensed dietitian and health coach

Schedule:

8:30 a.m.: Check in, volunteer fair, and photo booth opportunities begin at Washington-Liberty High School. The first 750 people to check in will receive a free MLK Day of Service t-shirt.

9:00 a.m.: Opening program at Washington-Liberty High School and the presentation of the 2025 Beloved Community Award

9:30 a.m.: Transition time to projects and travel to off-site locations (if necessary)

9:45 a.m.: Projects begin at Volunteer Arlington site (W-L)

Parking at Washington-Liberty High School: Parking is available on the street and in the I-66 parking garage located beside Washington-Liberty.
