North Arlington runs along the metro corridor and tends to feel more urban. Bigger homes, higher price points, and the neighborhoods where you will hear most people talk about schools first.

It also fits families who want both metro access and neighborhood feel in the same place. Most Arlington neighborhoods force you to choose. Westover is one of the few that does not.

Yorktown is where a lot of Arlington families land when they want space and stability. The streets are quieter, the lots are bigger, and you feel a step removed from the city without actually being far from it.

Most of what you do is organized around the family. Kids are in sports, parents are at the games, weekends fill up with school events and birthday parties. Lee Harrison Shopping Center is your grocery store, your coffee shop, your Friday night pizza place. You drive more than you walk, but most of the driving is five minutes.

The families who move to Yorktown tend to stay. Neighbors become long-term friends. Kids grow up together. If you are making a ten-year decision and you want that kind of stability, Yorktown delivers it.

Williamsburg sits right next to Yorktown and shares the same schools. For a lot of families they are basically interchangeable. The difference comes down to the specific street and the specific house.

If there is a distinguishing feature, it is new construction. Williamsburg has more of it than almost any other part of Arlington. Lots are prime for building and builders know it. If you are looking for a brand new home in a strong school cluster, this is where you look first.

Lyon Village is the answer for people who refuse to choose between city energy and a real neighborhood.

On a weekday you walk to Clarendon for dinner. On a weekend you walk to the farmers market. You take the metro into DC in 15 minutes if you want to spend an afternoon at the museums. And then you come home to a quiet craftsman-lined street where kids ride bikes and neighbors wave from their porches.

The homes have character. Original bungalows from the 1920s and 30s next to beautifully done new construction. The street appeal alone is one of the best in Arlington.

Most Lyon Village buyers came from Clarendon or Rosslyn apartments and were not ready to give up the walkable life they had built. Lyon Village lets them keep it.

Buyers who value walkability above almost everything else. You want to walk to dinner. You want to walk to the metro. You want a real house with a yard, but you do not want to give up the energy of being close to restaurants and coffee shops.

Lyon Park sits on the south side of Clarendon, directly across from Lyon Village. Same character. Craftsman bungalows and new construction on the same block. Same general feel.

What you give up is a few minutes on foot to Clarendon. What you gain is a meaningfully more accessible price point. Most Lyon Park buyers bike or drive the short distance to restaurants and the metro rather than walking, and for a lot of people that tradeoff is absolutely worth it.

It has the same neighborhood identity as Lyon Village but with more breathing room in the budget.

Buyers who love the character and the walkability of Lyon Village but do not need to be at the absolute center of it. Young families who want a home with character. Couples making the move from a DC condo or apartment who want their first house in a walkable North Arlington neighborhood.

It is one of the best value neighborhoods in this part of Arlington if you know what you are looking for.
